Our Services Organization is growing at a high pace, that’s why we are looking for enthusiastic and customer-oriented Service Engineers to join our team in Ireland.
As a Mechanical Field Service Engineer, you will be a part of a professional and dedicated team responsible for delivering technical products and support to our customers by providing preventive maintenance and technical services.
You will act as an ambassador for Tetra Pak and help maintain the company’s reputation for commitment and service worldwide. That’s why we consider this role to be of great importance.
In this position, you will be home-based while travelling extensively within the Island of Ireland and occasional overseas travel will be required.
What you will do
As part of the team, you will primarily:
- Provide installation, commissioning, and preventive maintenance services on Tetra Pak Processing Equipment as well as to drive continuous improvement at the customer's plant.
- Execute hands-on preventative and corrective maintenance activities to maximize system performance.
- Perform troubleshooting and fault-finding services on-site and remotely.
- Liaison with customers to establish and maintain a continuous positive relationship as well as follow-up with customers' concerns and problems.
- Conduct production supervision and training of customer personnel on processing equipment.
- Be health & safety aware & work within safe systems of work.
We believe you have
- Technical educational background and relevant Tetra Pak technical experience for at least 3 years.
- Work experience of mechanical maintenance tasks on processing or liquid food equipment is a must.
- Separator, Homogeniser and Valve and Pump knowledge
- Experience in the food industry and or cheese production is seen as beneficial.
- Be physically fit to perform the tasks that the role requires, this includes bending, working on your knees, lying on your back and carrying items.
A good command of English (written and oral) as well as developed MS Office skills are required.
A valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively, including on-call work on nights and at weekends is essential.
We believe you should be a customer and service-oriented person, a true self-starter with the drive and initiative to act decisively in the best interests of Tetra Pak and our customers. You are a true team player with high commitment, and you are challenged to handle customer expectations. Ideally, you have well-developed problem-solving skills and the ability to apply structure and priority to duties. Furthermore, you are persistent and efficient with a logical/structured way to solve issues.
