Data Analyst 2 year Day Rate Contract (Hybrid)

Job Title: Senior Statistician / Data Analyst
Location: Dublin City Centre
Job Type: Contract (24 months, with up to two possible 12-month extensions)
Work Type: Hybrid (typically off-site, 8 hours/day Monday to Friday, occasional on-site attendance needed)

Overview of Role
Our client's IT Data Office, part of the CIO Division, supports strategic and operational data needs across internal departments and external services. This role supports digital transformation initiatives under the Data Strategy 2024-2027 by leading data profiling, validation, quality checks, and visualisation efforts.
Role & Responsibilities:

- Lead data profiling, validation, quality checks, and development of visualisations
- Collaborate with business users to translate requirements into actionable data outputs
- Using Power BI, SQL and Python for data modelling and analysis
- Produce clear technical documentation and support knowledge transfer processes
- Report to the Senior Data Analytics Manager and comply with internal Data Office standards

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

Experience:

- Minimum 7 years' experience in data analysis or similar roles
- Proficiency in Power BI, SQL and Python for data modelling and analysis
- Leading data profiling and quality assurance activities
- Working closely with business stakeholders to understand and deliver data solutions
- Producing technical documentation and supporting knowledge transfer
- Following internal standards and reporting lines within a data office or IT environment

Education & Certifications:

- Level 8 or higher qualification in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, or a related discipline.
- English language proficiency: Fluency in English required; C2 certification needed if not a native speaker (confirmed at shortlist stage)
