The Role
We are seeking a native German speaker to join our team in Dublin. While the role is based in our Dublin office, regular travel is required. The Business Development Manager (BDM) is the first interaction prospective customers have with Origina. Working as part of the DACH Sales Pod, the BDM will collaborate with a Territory Sales Manager, Pre-Sales Specialist, Customer Account Manager and Channel Sales Manager to generate highly qualified opportunities and develop the sales pipeline. The BDM holistically manages business development within their assigned territories, coordinating with Marketing, Events, and partners to ensure effective lead generation and pipeline development. Balancing strategy with execution is critical for success in this role.

In this role you will be responsible for both business development and channel development to drive revenue growth and market expansion.

What You'll Do

Proactively identify, engage, qualify, and develop new business opportunities through multiple channels (phone, email, social media, events, networking) to drive pipeline growth.

Support the development and execution of joint go-to-market strategies with the sales team for partner-led initiatives (sales campaigns, digital and in-person events, incentive programs).

Collaborate with Territory Manager and Channel team to expand Origina’s presence in the DACH Market through Channel Partnerships.

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with channel account managers, serving as a primary point of contact.

Implement effective strategies to penetrate target accounts and position Origina as a trusted provider of software support solutions.

Apply a consultative sales approach, aligning Origina’s solutions with the needs of customers.

Align the customer journey to the Origina sales process and MEDDPICC qualification methodology.

Provide regular feedback to the sales and channel teams on lead generation and pipeline development outcomes and recommend improvements.

Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, product, and support) to ensure a seamless partner and customer experience.

Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform business development strategies.

Share market and customer insights with internal teams to help shape product offerings and marketing initiatives.

About you

A valid passport and ability to travel occasionally

Excellent written & verbal language skills in English and German

Professional background in sales, business development, channel sales, lead generation, outbound calling or equivalent

Experience working with Channel Partners

Skilled in conducting research, leveraging social media to qualify leads, driving opportunity and revenue

Enjoys working in a collaborative team environment

Self-motivated with a drive for outstanding results and a focus on quality and the customer

Devotion to sales development and advancing a sales career rapidly

Knowledge of general technology terms & trends

Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Strong multi-tasking, problem solving, and organizational skills

Solid technical aptitude & business acumen

Curious, positive, and ambitious attitude

Familiarity with a CRM or content management tracking system
