What we’re looking for We are seeking a skilled and proactive Mid–Senior Database Developer to join our growing data team who is passionate about data and leveraging cutting-edge technologies to drive business insights and decision-making. In this role, you will play a key part in developing and optimizing our data infrastructure, supporting business intelligence initiatives, and helping deliver insights through high-quality data visualizations.
Main Responsibilities Develop, implement, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts across Postgres, Redshift, and other platforms.
Design and maintain scalable and efficient database schemas, including tables, views, and indexes.
Build and manage data models to support analytics and reporting use cases.
Implement and maintain database unit tests using appropriate testing frameworks to ensure code quality and reliability (e.g. tSQLt, pgTAP, pytest).
Participate in peer code reviews and help define and enforce database development best practices.
Gather and analyze business requirements to design wireframes and concepts for dashboards and reports.
Create and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Amazon QuickSight.
Work closely with data analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to expose data to end users via well-structured datasets and visualizations.
Provide knowledge sharing, documentation, mentoring and training support to team members.
Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience with cloud-based database services such as AWS Redshift or Azure SQL Database.
Familiarity with ETL processes and tools (e.g., AWS Glue).
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, star/snowflake schemas, and data pipelines.
Strong working knowledge of self-service BI tools like QuickSight, Power BI, or Tableau.
Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
