Technical Business Development Engineer

Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer (or similar), with expertise in commercial/technical business development, who is now looking for an exciting new opportunity in the mid-west region?

Our client, who operate in the pharma, dairy/food & environmental sectors providing specialised engineering & technical services to their client base in these industries, are now undergoing a period of expansion & as a result they have now engaged with us in Cpl to recruit a Technical Business Development Professional to join their team here in Limerick.

The Job

As a key part of the precision engineering team, the successful candidate will be a key driver of growth & in this specific role, you will combine strong technical engineering expertise with a business development mindset to identify new markets, manage business activities & grow revenue.

More specifically these duties will include the sourcing new new business opportunities through targeted networking activities, managing key industrial client relationships, identifying customer requirements, providing technical expertise to clients, overseeing projects from concept to completion, maintaining CRM database integrity & staying current with market & industry trends across your industry sectors.

Your Skills/Experience that we need

- 3rd level degree qualified in a relevant Engineering discipline - ideally mechanical, process or a related discipline.
- 6+ years’ industry knowledge with relevant technical & commercial development expertise.
- Excellent communication skills & ability to engage with clients on technical as well as commercial matters.
- Excellent attention to detail & proficient with 3D drawing software (Solidworks, Autocad or equivalent).
- Strong organisational & project management skills.

The Offer:

This is a senior position within our client's organisation & the salary/total package on offer will reflect this, along with the candidate's relevant matching experience.

This position will be primarily based in the client's Limerick city office but given the nature of the role, there will be some level of client focused travel required on occasion.

Candidates holding restricted visas/work permits will not be considered.
