Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of one of our clients, a leading manufacturer in North Mayo. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of setters and operators, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced precision engineering environment.
Responsibilities Lead daily production activities to meet targets, maintain quality and safety standards.
Manage staff, optimise processes for efficiency, troubleshoot equipment and processes, and ensure compliance with company policies.
Direct production teams to ensure efficient and timely production.
Improve processes to maximise efficiency, quality and safety.
Implement production plans and schedule personnel to meet strategic goals.
Identify and resolve issues with equipment and production processes to minimise downtime.
Ensure products are provided to customers on time, meeting product quality, yield, operating costs and process efficiencies.
Facilitate training, conduct daily production planning meetings and organise reviews with operators.
Qualifications Proven experience in a supervisory role within a CNC machining/precision engineering environment.
Strong understanding of CNC turning, tooling, and manufacturing processes.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Familiarity with CNC controls.
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
Hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented approach.
