Electrical Maintenance Technician

Rhomberg Sersa Ireland is currently hiring an Electrical Maintenance Technician. This is a key role within the Maintenance and Operations Department, working on a fleet of 14 On Track Machines (OTMs), including Tampers, Ballast Cleaners, Regulators, and Inspection Cars.

Rhomberg Sersa Ireland specializes in the rail industry. As part of the Rhomberg Sersa Rail Group (RSRG), we provide track maintenance services to Irish Rail through the operation of On Track Machines (OTMs).

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain OTMs according to Manufacturer Vehicle Maintenance Instructions (VMIs).

2. Proficiently fault-find and repair electric and electronic systems associated with the OTM fleet.

3. Work on Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Mechanical systems.

4. Contribute positively to a team of dedicated professionals.

5. Be flexible to work around a roster that includes weekends, bank holidays, and night shifts.

6. Lead and mentor Trainee Workshop Technicians.

7. Occasionally operate machines as workload requires.

Requirements:

1. Recognized Level 6 or higher qualification as an Electrician with a good safety record.

2. Ability to work on hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical systems.

3. Full, current EU driving license.

4. Ability to meet deadlines and work within timescales.

5. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

6. Proficiency in computer skills.

7. Desired: Qualified Trainer/Assessor.

Compensation and Benefits:

Total compensation up to €65,000, including a basic salary of €56,000, overtime, and subsistence payments.
