Analysis & Financial Planning Accountant

We are inviting applications for a Financial Planning & Analysis Accountant to join Musgrave Wholesale Partners Finance team. Hybrid working will apply.

The role is a key business partnering role providing analysis and insight for the sales directors and business development managers, along with commercial and strategic support to the wider business. The role will play a significant part in budgeting, planning, and forecasting of the business. The role will be both structured and varied, delivering to the changing business needs.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

1. Providing relevant and insightful information and analysis to key stakeholders around all KPI's.
2. Assisting the performance of the business through detailed analysis and provision of insightful information – on BAU and other strategic initiatives.
3. Actively contributing to the insight and clarity provided by the finance team around recent business performance from both a sales and margin perspective.
4. Coordinating the development of strategic plans, budgets, and forecasts for assigned business areas that are aligned with the achievement of the business strategy.
5. Delivering supporting analysis for forecasts and budgets for assigned areas throughout the year.
6. Working closely with our Daybreak sales development team to support the agenda of driving profitability in each and every store.
7. Collaborating with the wider Finance team to ensure alignment on the Finance objectives, budgets, and targets.
8. Building and maintaining cross-functional relationships with other support functions, providing support on new and improved ways to drive improvement and profit for the MWP business.

The successful candidate will have all or most of the following:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant, CIMA, or relevant Corporate Finance qualification
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a financial/commercial role
- Financial analysis and interpretation experience, supported by strong Excel skills
- Commercial experience in Musgrave or external business environment
- Strong attention to detail and a preference for cross-functional work
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- A self-motivated approach to work - can-do attitude
- Good organizational and time management skills.
