Overview Trainee Laboratory Technician . This is an entry-level role designed for someone with a strong interest in science and practical work, but who may not yet have formal laboratory experience. Full training will be provided in-house, with the opportunity to pursue further formal education and professional development as your career progresses.
Key Responsibilities Assist in day-to-day laboratory operations, including sample preparation, testing, and record-keeping.
Learn and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) under supervision.
Carry out basic laboratory analyses using a variety of lab equipment.
Maintain laboratory cleanliness, stock consumables, and ensure equipment is in good working order.
Support senior staff with experimental trials and routine testing.
Accurately document results and contribute to quality control systems.
Follow health, safety, and environmental standards at all times.
Training & Development Comprehensive in-house training will be provided to build technical and laboratory skills.
Exposure to a range of laboratory techniques and analytical equipment.

Candidate Profile Essential:
Strong interest in science, laboratory work, or materials testing.
Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
Team player with a positive attitude.
Leaving Certificate (or equivalent) completed.
Desirable (but not required):
Prior lab, technical, or quality control experience (educational or work-based).
Familiarity with safe handling of chemicals or lab equipment.
