Legal Consultant: QC/Lead Discovery & DSAR
Johnson Hana is seeking to hire QC or Lead Discovery and DSAR Consultants. These projects will range in length and there is a strong potential for the projects to be extended beyond this timeframe. We can offer full-time / part-time hours flexible hours for these projects.
Responsibilities
Receive and review data subject access requests from individuals, ensuring all necessary information is provided.
Verify the identity of the data subject making the request to prevent unauthorized access.
Coordinate with relevant departments to locate and retrieve requested personal data within the stipulated timeframe.
Redact third-party information and confidential data as needed before sharing the requested information.
Maintain a strong understanding of data protection laws and regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, and others that may apply.
Ensure that all DSAR processes are in line with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Acknowledge receipt of DSARs and communicate expected timelines for response to data subjects.
Provide clear and concise explanations of the personal data collected and processed, the purposes of processing, and any relevant recipients.
Skills & Experience
Demonstrated experience managing and leading Discovery or DSAR projects as a QC or Lead.
Experience working on E-Discovery/DSAR projects
Capacity to work up to 25 hours per week.
Good knowledge of privacy and data protection is desirable.
