This role involves taking ownership of smaller project crews (typically 23 team members) and ensuring works are delivered to a high standard, on time, and within budget. Projects will include curbs, drainage, road reconstruction, public realm improvements, and infrastructure upgrades, often in live traffic environments. This position offers the opportunity to join a well-established civil engineering contractor with a strong pipeline of work across the Dublin region. Key Responsibilities Setting Out: Carry out precise setting-out for roads, drainage, curbs, and other civil works. Project Delivery: Oversee smaller crews (23 people) and ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification. Site Management: Manage day-to-day site activities, coordinate subcontractors, and monitor progress against the programme. Health & Safety: Ensure full compliance with company and statutory health and safety requirements. Quality Control: Maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure project specifications are met. Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to maintain strong working relationships. Live Traffic Management: Manage works in live traffic environments, ensuring safety measures are in place at all times. Reporting: Keep accurate site records, progress reports, and as-built information. Requirements: Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related construction discipline. Minimum 7 years post-qualification experience delivering civil engineering projects. Strong track record in road reconstruction, drainage, curbs, and public realm works. Proven ability to manage small site crews and coordinate subcontractors. Experience delivering works under live traffic conditions. Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Full clean driving licence.
