About the post: We are seeking reliable, detail-oriented Senior invigilators to support the delivery of written and clinical examinations at our medical college. The role involves ensuring the integrity and smooth running of assessments, with a particular focus on digital systems used in exam administration and delivery. Job Responsibilities Written Exams Set up exam venue Monitor computer-based and paper-based exam environments. Ensure candidates adhere to exam regulations and procedures. Assist with login procedures and troubleshoot basic technical issues. Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and irregularities. Clinical Exams (OSCEs) Support the setup and flow of Objective Structured Clinical Examinations. Coordinate with examiners, actors/patients, and candidates to ensure timely transitions. Monitor stations for compliance with assessment protocols. Use tablets or digital scoring systems to record examiner feedback or candidate performance. Digital Literacy & Systems Use Operate digital platforms used for exam delivery, candidate tracking, and incident reporting. Navigate online invigilation tools, exam dashboards, and communication platforms (e.g., Teams, Zoom). Report technical issues promptly and escalate where necessary. Maintain confidentiality and data protection standards when handling digital records. Training & Exam Management Involvement in training & supervision of new invigilators Act as escalation point for queries from the invigilator pool on the day Knowledge & Experience - (Essential): Strong digital literacy and confidence using computers, tablets, and online platforms. Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow procedures precisely. Professional demeanour and ability to remain calm under pressure. Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse groups. Flexibility & adaptability when required Desirable Skills Experience in exam invigilation or educational settings. Familiarity with clinical exam formats (e.g., OSCEs). Basic troubleshooting skills for IT-related issues. Understanding of GDPR and data protection principles. Working Hours: Variable, based on exam schedules. Includes early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends. Training Provided: Full mandatory training on exam procedures, safeguarding, and digital systems. Ongoing support and refresher sessions throughout the academic year.
