Post 1725 Apheresis Donor Attendant Platelet Apheresis Department Cork Centre Part Time (95 hrs over 4 weeks) Permanent Cork Blood Centre located at St. Finbars Hospital, Cork The IBTS is currently recruiting a part-time, permanent, Apheresis Donor Attendant based in the Platelet Apheresis Department at our Centre located at St. Finbars Hospital, Douglas Road, Cork. The Irish Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS) operates nurse-led collection clinics, managed by a Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM). The role of the Apheresis Donor Attendant (ADA) on the Cork Hybrid Team is to participate as part of the collection team to support the IBTS strategic priorities with regard to achieving operational excellence, improving customer (donor) experience and supporting better healthcare, ensuring compliance with current legislative requirements. Essential Criteria: Qualification - Leaving Certificate / QQI / FETAC Level 5 (minimum) Proven computer skills (through training course or relevant experience) Excellent written communication skills, including excellent attention to detail (fluent in English language) Recent (last 12 months) experience of working in a customer orientated service / business The salary scale attached to the post is the Apheresis Donor Attendant salary scale €34,255 to €53,303 (incl. LSI) pro rata per annum. Entry point onto the salary scale is dependent upon relevant experience.
