Description

One of our growing offices, based in Cavan, are currently recruiting for an Payroll Specialist to join their high achieving team. The ideal candidate will manage end-to-end payroll processes for a portfolio of clients across various sectors, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submissions.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the full payroll cycle for multiple clients (weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls).
- Process starters, leavers, and statutory leave (sick leave, maternity, paternity, etc.).
- Submit payroll data and process through Revenue’s PAYE Modernisation (RTI) system using ROS.
- Calculate PAYE, PRSI, USC, LPT, BIK, and pension contributions accurately.
- Prepare and issue payslips, P45 equivalents, and year‑end statements.
- Handle payroll queries from clients and employees in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with CSO returns and Revenue audits where applicable.

Key Requirements

- Third level degree or similar qualification.
- Experience in a similar role desirable.
- Part qualification from one of the Accountancy bodies.
- Basic knowledge / experience of both corporate and personal tax computations.
- Highly motivated with the ability to work to strict deadlines.
- Good technical skills.
- Positive can‑do attitude and a team player.
- Team player with strong communication and leadership potential.
