Request for Proposals: Annual Financial Statement Audit February 13 2025
About CASTL CASTL is a federally incorporated not-for-profit organization dedicated to building a highly skilled workforce for Canada’s biomanufacturing and life sciences sector . Operating from three training facilities in Charlottetown, Montreal, and Vancouver , we provide industry-leading hands-on and online training in collaboration with the National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training (NIBRT) in Dublin, Ireland .
CASTL is funded through a combination of training revenue from industry partners and government support , with an annual operating budget of approximately $7.5 million .
Scope of Work The selected audit firm will be responsible for:
Conducting financial statement audits and preparing annual financial reports
Evaluating accounting procedures and identifying risk areas
Preparing and filing corporate tax returns (T2 and T1044)
Presenting audit findings to the Finance Committee and Board of Directors
Conducting project-specific audits as required
Submission Guidelines CASTL invites proposals from firms with demonstrated experience in auditing not-for-profit organizations . Proposals should outline:
Firm qualifications and audit team experience
Proposed audit methodology and timeline
Cost structure for the three-year engagement
Deadline for Submissions Proposal due date: February 27, 2025, by 12:00 noon AST Submit proposals to: Kent Thompson, Chief Financial Officer, at kent@castlcanada.ca
