Location: Dublin, as part of our hybrid working model.
Grade: Director
Contract type: FTC – 24 month contract
KPMG Ireland is seeking an experienced ERP Programme Director to lead our internal transformation programme, Illuminate. This programme aims to transform various enterprise resource planning processes and systems, including Core Finance, Time Recording, Resourcing, Human Capital Management, and Master Data Management, to optimise operational efficiency, enhance data accuracy, and align with our strategic business objectives for sustained growth.
Illuminate will also facilitate the delivery of superior client and employee experiences and bolster our capacity for continuous improvement and growth as a firm.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess substantial experience in successfully leading large-scale SAP projects, a comprehensive understanding of the in-scope business processes, and the capability to drive strategic alignment within a complex stakeholder environment.
A snapshot of your peer group:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in SAP programme leadership, including a minimum of two SAP S/4 HANA implementations, ideally in a professional services organisation.
- Successful delivery of large, complex SAP projects (e.g., S/4HANA transformations, ERP implementations).
- Exceptional leadership and organisational skills.
- Strong strategic thinking with an ability to align processes, systems and technology with strategic business goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with diverse stakeholders.
- Deep knowledge of SAP based processes, modules and systems.
- Deep knowledge of SAP Best Practices and the SAP implementation methodology (SAP Activate).
- Strong Customer engagement and delivery skill.
- Strong written, oral and presentation skills.
Your responsibilities and achievements will evolve as you enhance your career with us. Here is what you can initially expect:
- Oversee the successful end-to-end planning and execution of the Transformation programme, reporting to the Sponsor and Steering Committee, and ensuring it meets our strategic business objectives, timelines, and budget.
- Engage with, and manage expectations of, a wide range of senior stakeholders across the functions of a multi-disciplinary professional services organisation, and the external partners that will be required to successfully deliver the programme.
- Plan, mobilise, lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of internal KPMG staff, SAP consultants, business analysts, and in house and external technical experts.
- Plan, schedule and drive the detailed design workshops to an on-time delivery schedule, a standardised solution with minimal customisation, and an aligned stakeholder community.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate the typical risks associated with a complex SAP implementation.
- Drive the adoption of the new systems and processes by developing and implementing change management strategy that include training, communication, cutover preparations for go-live, and support structures.
- Ensure the quality of the solution through rigorous testing phases, including user acceptance testing, and adherence to SAP best practices.
- Managing programme budgets, financial forecasting, and cost control measures to ensure profitability and efficiency.
- Staying aware of SAP technologies and trends to recommend upgrades or new implementations that could benefit us.
Ready to Join Us?
If you meet most of the criteria, we encourage you to apply by submitting your CV. KPMG is an equal opportunities employer, welcoming applications from people of all backgrounds. We are happy to provide reasonable accommodations during the recruitment process if needed.
