Job Title: BIM Technician - Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants (Green and Brownfield Projects) Location: Kilkenny, Ireland, WFH flexibiity Duration: 6 months + with potential for permanency About the Role: We are seeking a BIM Technician to join a dynamic team working on multiple water and wastewater treatment plant projects, covering both greenfield and brownfield sites. The role involves producing detailed Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Project Information Models (PIM), Asset Information Models (AIM), and high-quality drawings and models for client approval, construction, and verified construction records. All work will follow standard practices, client requirements, and industry standards. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Develop P&IDs for water and wastewater treatment plants using AutoCAD under guidance from design engineers Develop 3D models and general arrangement drawings using Revit Ensure all work is accurate, compliant, and delivered with due diligence Manage time effectively to meet project timelines and budgetary requirements Maintain professional communication with design engineers and project teams Apply problem-solving skills and good engineering principles Ensure compliance with client specifications, quality requirements, health and safety regulations, legislation, and design standards Support and assist managers and colleagues as needed Maintain a respectful and ethical working environment Required Skills and Qualifications Relevant third-level qualification in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry 5 or more years' experience in a similar BIM Technician role Knowledge of the water and wastewater treatment industry preferred Advanced proficiency in Revit for 3D modeling Advanced proficiency in Navisworks for clash detection and coordination Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD for P&IDs and drawings Advanced proficiency in BIM360 for project setup and maintenance Proficiency in point clouds and working knowledge of RecapPro or similar software Proficiency in Excel and Word / google suite / Sheets Ability to read and follow schematic drawings accurately Experience developing 3D models, general arrangement drawings, and applying BIM interoperability toolkits such as Uniclass and COBie Ability to follow standard practices and contribute to their development Preferred Attributes Experience with greenfield and brownfield projects, including retrofitting existing facilities Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and collaboration skills Effective communication and time management Why use Staffline?
