Job description Job Title: BIM Technician - Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants (Green and Brownfield Projects) Location: Kilkenny, IrelandDuration: 6 months +About the Role: We are seeking a BIM Technician to join a dynamic team working on multiple water and wastewater treatment plant projects, covering both greenfield and brownfield sites. The role involves producing detailed Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Project Information Models (PIM), Asset Information Models (AIM), and high-quality drawings and models for client approval, construction, and verified construction records. All work will follow standard practices, client requirements, and industry standards.Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesDevelop P&IDs for water and wastewater treatment plants using AutoCAD under guidance from design engineersDevelop 3D models and general arrangement drawings using RevitEnsure all work is accurate, compliant, and delivered with due diligenceManage time effectively to meet project timelines and budgetary requirementsMaintain professional communication with design engineers and project teamsApply problem-solving skills and good engineering principlesEnsure compliance with client specifications, quality requirements, health and safety regulations, legislation, and design standardsSupport and assist managers and colleagues as neededMaintain a respectful and ethical working environmentRequired Skills and QualificationsRelevant third-level qualification in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry5 or more years' experience in a similar BIM Technician roleKnowledge of the water and wastewater treatment industry preferredAdvanced proficiency in Revit for 3D modelingAdvanced proficiency in Navisworks for clash detection and coordinationAdvanced proficiency in AutoCAD for P&IDs and drawingsAdvanced proficiency in BIM360 for project setup and maintenanceProficiency in point clouds and working knowledge of RecapPro or similar softwareProficiency in Excel and Word / google suite / SheetsAbility to read and follow schematic drawings accuratelyExperience developing 3D models, general arrangement drawings, and applying BIM interoperability toolkits such as Uniclass and COBieAbility to follow standard practices and contribute to their developmentPreferred AttributesExperience with greenfield and brownfield projects, including retrofitting existing facilitiesStrong attention to detail, problem-solving, and collaboration skillsEffective communication and time management
