The Role

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic Senior Infrastructure Engineering Manager who is committed to their work, and should be comfortable working in a fast paced, highly flexible environment. The role will be responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of a global network infrastructure. This is a great opportunity for an experienced manager to demonstrate their technical and organisational ability, working in a small team of engineers at the cutting edge of IoT technologies.

In this role you will be:

- Managing a team of highly experienced engineers and network architects.
- Accountable for the Strategy, Delivery, and Operations, of globally distributed infrastructure.
- Setting OKRs and conducting performance management with the team.
- Ensuring the continuous flow of work through the team to deliver on company targets.
- Validating 3rd party solutions and systems are performant and cost efficient.
- Driving the success of geo redundant connectivity solutions.

- People Management skills with an engineering background.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and develop the team.
- Vendor negotiation and relationship building skills.
- Familiarity and experience with the following required: BGP, OSPF, IPSEC VPN, MPLS, VXLAN.
- Firewalls – Fortinet, CheckPoint, Juniper, or similar.
- Management of Hybrid cloud – Azure, AWS, Data Centre, Virtualization, Linux, Storage.
- Contribute to and guide IP network infrastructure design and implementation.
- Experience working in a NOC environment preferred.
- Proven track record in working with small teams.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Previous experience working to aggressive timelines essential.
- Commitment to provide a high quality and professional service.
- Ability to prioritise work tasks.
- Adaptable and flexible in approach to work.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
