The Senior Data Engineer will join a team developing a world-class data platform to support our customers, products, researchers, and back-office teams.

You’ll join a small squad of Data Engineers and QA specialists empowered to define the best ways of working. You’ll add features, develop data pipelines, automate complex data ETL processes, and design platform solutions supporting various applications. You’ll have the freedom to innovate and help us leverage data for positive impact.

What we offer:

- Design and implement data storage models, defining data governance, quality, and lifecycle rules.
- Collaborate with Information Architects, Product Owners, and stakeholders to ensure high-level designs.
- Ingest data into our data lake and provide frameworks for data operation.
- Design and support data pipelines, recommending improvements.
- Build processes for efficient extraction, transformation, and loading of data from diverse sources.
- Develop processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Work closely with cloud infrastructure teams and communicate effectively.
- Prioritize code reviews to unblock team progress.
- Identify and resolve blockers to aid delivery.

Required skills:

- Over 6 years of experience in scalable, data-centric systems, including 3 years focused on processing large-scale enterprise data.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services like Data Pipelines, Glue, Redshift, S3, or similar cloud tech.
- Proficiency in Spark, Python, Java, with knowledge of dbt, HBase, Kafka, Scala, and Spark streaming.
- Experience in BI data modeling and data warehouse concepts like star schema and denormalization.
- Mentoring experience for engineers and improving team performance.
