The Accounts Assistant will join the Finance Team in the Shannon office on a hybrid basis. The role will report directly and work closely with the Group Accountant. This a great opportunity to join a well-established organisation within the region. Key Responsibilities: Preparation and posting of month end journals. Monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including bank and intercompany reconciliations. Assisting with the preparation and filing of tax returns, including bi-monthly VAT returns and required reporting. Posting of bank and credit card related transactions Circulation of monthly reports Assist with monthly/annual consolidation and management accounts processes. Assist with Groups budgeting and reforecasting process. Assisting in the ongoing development and testing of internal systems and controls Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders. Proactively engage with internal and external auditors when required. Assisting with ad-hoc analysis / one-off projects Qualifications, Skills & Experience: Accounting Technician or pursuit of relevant accountancy related qualification preferred. Candidates qualified through experience in a similar role will be considered. Strong IT skills, with experience of MS Office products (in particular Excel) Experience using accounting packages Oracle experience is a bonus Self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative. Ability to work to strict deadlines and have a flexible, hands-on approach.
