The Opportunity

The Infrastructure Onshore Office leads the development and delivery of the power system and interconnection investment programmes in collaboration with partners, customers & communities. We now seek a Project Support Specialist to coordinate the tasks of key functions within our Infrastructure Onshore Office to deliver supporting outputs, monitor and report on programme progress, and ensure governance audit readiness in the following areas:
Customers & Connections
Engineering & Asset Management
Network Projects Ireland

Responsibilities

As Project Support Specialist, you will assist in the project and programme management of workstreams within the Customers & Connections, Engineering & Asset Management or Network Projects Ireland functions. This includes developing projects and objectives from initiation to completion, supporting preparation and/or coordination of key reports, presentations, strategies and submissions, and delivering deliverables for infrastructure projects managed by the team or external consultants.

You will develop Microsoft Project programmes, reports and risk/issue logs using Microsoft Project and Excel, and raise purchase requisitions in Microsoft Dynamics AX on behalf of the team. You will support the customer/industry interface, including progress meetings, reporting, relationship management, coordination, and general communication. You will build relationships across the Directorate and company, support cross‑functional working groups, evaluate and develop solutions to risks and issues, and liaise with senior members of the team and management. You will also support the Team Leads and Head of Function in organising work to deliver on goals, and manage coordination of external project consultants.

Qualifications

- A relevant third level qualification or equivalent experience.

- At least 2-4 years professional experience of managing workload, development and writing of reports.

- Strong project management skills.

- Proven analytical and problem‑solving ability.

- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on effective report writing and the ability to communicate technical issues clearly and effectively.
