SharePoint Migration Specialist (Hybrid - Dublin) Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Migration Specialist to lead the transition from Box to SharePoint across a large-scale enterprise environment. This is a business-critical programme that will impact more than 40,000 users, requiring the successful candidate to deliver a smooth migration of content, maintain access controls, and support integrations.
You will work with migration tooling (primarily ShareGate) to manage the end-to-end process, including data cleansing, governance, and version history considerations. This role requires strong technical expertise, a methodical approach, and proven experience delivering high-volume document management migrations.
Key Responsibilities Plan and execute the migration of enterprise-wide content from Box to SharePoint
Manage data integrity, security, access controls, and version history throughout the migration
Conduct data clean-up, archive, and deletion activities to reduce duplication and improve structure
Utilise ShareGate and other migration tools to manage large-scale content transfers
Work closely with stakeholders to ensure minimal disruption to business operations
Troubleshoot and resolve migration-related issues, providing clear documentation and guidance
Required Skills & Experience Must Have
Proven experience with enterprise-scale data/document migration (Box to SharePoint highly preferred)
Strong understanding of document management systems, permissions, and access control
Ability to work independently and deliver in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
Hands-on experience with ShareGate migration tooling
Background in large-scale IT change programmes
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
