Software Engineer III

Our Admin Experience teams are at the forefront of how Workhuman supports our clients program admins and decision makers with their recognition programs. These teams design, deliver and support innovative solutions that give our customers insights into how their recognition programs are performing whilst giving them admin tools to self-serve their program needs.

Technical stack:
Java, Oracle, Postgres, Spring, Kafka, RESTful webservices, AWS, Python, Kubernetes, Docker, PL/SQL, TestNG, Selenium Webdriver, JMeter, Jenkins, Sonar, Maven, Git.

What we can offer you:

- You will have the opportunity to work with agile development teams continuously delivering solutions that drive meaningful improvements to our customers culture in a strategic priority area for the company
- You will partner with our business team and be part of the technical design discussions & decisions as well as implementing the designs.
- You will contribute to sprint planning & backlog refinement sessions, daily stand-ups and retrospectives with our product development team
- You will have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- You will be encouraged to learn and introduce new technologies, processes, and innovations to the team and company

The skills you will bring:

- You have 4+ years experience developing web-based applications at the enterprise level.
- You can write clean code that is performant, secure, and designed for scale.
- You can spot opportunities to improve code quality and reduce technical debt as you develop features
- You are a team player happy to join in on discussions in other disciplines like design, product, and quality and can pitch in when the team need a hand elsewhere.
- You are accomplished at delivering well-defined complex tasks with a high level of independence.
- You take initiative and can help to lead design, breakdown, planning and delivery of large features which may span across multiple sprints.
- Achievements:
- You have a track record of developing robust Java, python, SQL Applications, as part of full-stack web applications.
- Demonstrated involvement in interacting with databases and data storage best practices.
- You are familiar with RESTful as an API design/have experience integrating with middle tier Java applications.
- Experience with AWS and Cloud-first applications is a plus.
- Experience using Git, or similar version-control systems, issue tracking, and committing code
