Description Head of Fund Expense Management Function
Exciting opportunity to support and shape the delivery of operational excellence in Carne Group. This position will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the newly established Fund Expense Management function . This function will oversee Carne’s global programme on Fund Expenses in compliance with regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will lead the global team and report directly to the Head of Capital and Financial Management, based in Ireland. The global function may support activities in Ireland, UK, Luxembourg, Channel Islands, and Switzerland.
This role demands strong ownership of responsibilities and deliverables, with high interaction with internal senior management and external delegates. It's an excellent opportunity to lead a new team, deepen knowledge of management company operations, and advance career development.
Who are we looking for? Ideal candidates will be ambitious professionals seeking to grow their careers in a dynamic environment. Experience in fund operations, especially in fund expenses within management companies, fund administrators, or depositaries, is preferred. A professional accountancy qualification is advantageous. Location preference is Wexford or Kilkenny.
Minimum Requirements A recognized professional or third-level qualification relevant to the role, preferably in business, accounting, finance, or data analytics.
Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Knowledge of fund structures and fund expense oversight is a plus.
Minimum of 10 years in asset management or similar industry.
Strong communication skills evidenced by a proven track record.
Responsibilities Manage daily operations of the function.
Develop and maintain an efficient operating model, including a global model where appropriate.
Ensure regulatory compliance across relevant jurisdictions.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet governance standards.
Lead the Supervision of Costs programme, including expense analysis, budgeting, and market comparisons.
Prepare and present internal reports and KPIs.
Drive efficiencies through automation and process improvements.
Develop and maintain operational procedures.
Support staff development and training.
Recruit and manage junior staff, and participate in strategic planning for growth.

Knowledge of funds, Management Company activities, UCITS, and AIFMD regulations.
