Job Summary We are looking for a highly analytical and hands-on Senior Engineering Operations Specialist to join our team. This role is critical in driving operational excellence across engineering and product teams by leveraging tools like Jira and Jellyfish. You will be responsible for gathering, interpreting, and correlating engineering data from these systems to generate actionable insights that support efficient delivery, sprint execution, and release management. Exposure to product metrics and execution roadmap alignment is a plus. Key Responsibilities - Software Delivery Support: Partner with engineering and product teams to support Agile delivery processes, including backlog prioritization, sprint planning, defect resolution, and iterative releases using Jira (and other metrics collaboration tools). Ensure delivery practices align with roadmap priorities and organizational goals. - Tool Ownership & Data Extraction: Manage and operate engineering delivery tools (Jira, Jellyfish) to extract and report on engineering performance metrics. Experience with Jira Product Discovery or other product tools is a plus - Insight Generation: Analyze engineering metrics to identify trends, correlations, and root causes that impact delivery velocity, quality, and execution roadmap alignment. - Operational Reporting: Build and maintain dashboards and reports that provide visibility into team performance, product usage, and delivery health. - Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering Managers to translate data into insights and recommend actions that improve team efficiency and product outcomes. - Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in engineering and product workflows and propose data-driven improvements. - Communication & Storytelling: Present findings clearly and persuasively to technical and non-technical stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making. - Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with best practices in engineering operations and analytics tooling to continuously enhance operational capabilities. Required Skills & Qualifications - 6+ years of experience in engineering opera tions , data analytics, or a related role . - Hands-on experience with Jira and jellyfish - Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and derive actionable insights. - Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar). - Solid understanding of software development and product management processes. - Excellent communication and storytelling skills—able to convey complex data in a clear, concise, and compelling manner. - Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. - Self-starter with a proactive mindset and strong attention to detail. Nice-to-Haves - Exposure to product delivery metrics, roadmap alignment, or product usage dashboards - Familiarity with Jira Product Discovery or product analytics tool - CSM, PSM, or equivalent Agile certification - Familiarity with SQL or scripting languages (e.g., Python) for custom data analysis. - Experience in SaaS or product-led growth environments. - Exposure to OKR frameworks and performance measurement systems.
