Overview

NHS Western Isles are recruiting a lead radiographer to support the planning, establishment and management of the new MRI service in the Western Isles.

Responsibilities

The role is to manage and co-ordinate the work of the MRI suite and liaise with other departments, staff groups and patients to provide a comprehensive and effective service.

Location, hours and benefits

- Location: Western Isles Hospital, Stornoway, Isle of Lewis.

- Hours: 37 hours per week; permanent (fixed-term or secondment considered).

- On-call duties may be required; on-call pay is in addition to base salary.

- Distant Islands Allowance: £1,349 per annum.

- Relocation package: up to £8,000.

Requirements

- Registration with the Disclosure Scotland PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups).

- Understanding of realistic medicine and how this impacts radiology.
