We are hiring for our client, a leading manufacturing company based in Wicklow, serving the medical device, pharmaceutical, and food sectors. They are seeking an Automation Engineer to join their dynamic team. The Role:

- Maintain and optimise the condition and performance of automation cells, robotics, and vision inspection systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic equipment, ensuring timely fault diagnosis and repairs.
- Perform preventive and reactive maintenance, documenting all activities.
- Lead initiatives to optimise machine cycle times and other process improvements.
- Participate in the development and commissioning of automated equipment.
- Manage adequate stock levels of spare parts.
- Assist in developing and updating technical documentation.
- Perform machine changeovers in line with production schedules.

The Person:

- Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment (electrical, mechanical, instrumentation).
- Proven experience working with robots and machine vision inspection systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other computer systems.
- Experience commissioning and optimising new equipment.
