The Senior Technical Business Analyst will primarily work with StepWise implementations, our automated rating and pricing system, and consult with clients on requirements gathering, system design, configuration, and implementation. In addition to working on StepWise implementations, this role will involve advising clients on Underwriting, Actuarial, and financial projects, and supporting senior consultants as appropriate.

Primary Responsibilities:
1. Create and update software with complex pricing models.
2. Improve the customer experience by proactively partnering and consulting with business resources to implement enhancements to existing processes and workflows.
3. Cross functional requirements gathering, system consultation, and implementation of system design and configuration.
4. Support and understand the rating formulas and factors, system workflow, and implement appropriate design and configuration of workflow portals within the StepWise application suite.
5. Use Excel and SQL-based systems to solve business problems / achieve clients' expectations.
6. Understand industry issues, changes, and potential impacts and opportunities for the StepWise consulting team.
7. Consult with internal/external clients to understand business needs and translate into technical solutions including design, development, and delivery.
8. Manage project deadlines across multiple clients with minimal supervision.
9. Convey proposed solutions to non-technical audience through presentations and demos.

Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in IT, Finance, Business, Actuarial Science, Math, Data Analytics, Economics or a related degree.
2. Advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, calculations, VBA, etc.
3. Hands-on SQL experience including familiarity with database design best practices, creating stored procedures, etc.
4. Proven experience working in the healthcare, insurance industry, finance, FMCG or any retail experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Expertise in rating systems (Software applications and/or Excel tools) is highly desirable - as a consultant, super user, or technical design/implementation subject matter expert.
2. Experience in an Actuarial and/or Underwriting role.
3. Knowledge of the full Software Development Life Cycle. Experience working in an agile development environment is desirable.
4. Experience with user interface design and/or workflow automation.
5. Experience working with the StepWise Suite.
