We are currently seeking a Kitchen Assistant in Junction 14 Mayfield, Monasterevin who may be seeking a start or experience in the culinary industry. This is a full-time position that requires flexibility as the role would demand shifts during business days as well as over weekends. Deliver a fast, fun and friendly food service experience. Preparing and presenting quality food items in accordance to recipes and set menus in place. Implement new ideas and to carry out menu planning. Waste control. To ensure the highest standard of preparation. Follow food safety standards and maintain a clean working environment area. Ability to read, comprehend and carry out written instructions. Ensure display counters are merchandised in a manner designed to maximise its potential. Organize and clean work areas. To maintain personal knowledge by attending all in-house training provided. To ensure the highest standard of personal appearance when on duty. Ordering in of stock, ensure stock control and stock rotation is completed. Always adhere to company policy set out. Complying with the HACCP system in place and always ensure to keep all documents up to date. Follow recipes according to the allergen folder. To ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained at all times by staff. To attend management meetings and staff communication meetings regularly. To conduct any other duties delegated to you. Ideal Candidate: Must have a passion for working with food. Must have basic culinary skills and looking to progress in a career in this industry. Both Food Hygiene and HACCP knowledge is essential. Must have creativity and flair regarding new meal ideas. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong command of the English language. The ability to work in a fast paced and rapidly changing retail environment.
