Dublin-based documentary production company True Films is currently seeking a full-time, experienced Researcher/Assistant Producer to join our close-knit team for upcoming documentary projects. The role involves on-the-ground research in a busy environment, sourcing interesting personalities, and exploring their stories for potential filming. Applicants should be good listeners, have a strong interest in documentary storytelling, and maintain an open mind. The successful candidate should demonstrate initiative and strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships with contributors.

Responsibilities include:

- Sourcing, researching, and filming short videos of potential contributors.
- Writing character breakdowns and briefing the Producer and Director.
- Working independently under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Assisting on shoots.
- Willingness to work flexible hours.

Desired Skills:

- Experience in factual/documentary television, radio, or online media.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure within a busy team and meet deadlines.
- A full clean driver's license is desirable.
- Previous camera operating experience is helpful.
