Kinia is a growing social enterprise and non-profit seeking a forward-thinking Head of Learning to lead the design, delivery, and growth of learning programmes and source quality tech equipment to support skills development. Reporting to the CEO, this is a senior role central to our mission, shaping strategy, driving excellence, and ensuring impact at scale.
Responsibilities Set the vision: Lead the strategy for Kinia’s learning programmes, aligning pedagogy, design, and delivery with the mission.
Grow our impact: Build and strengthen partnerships that expand Kinia’s reach. Develop value-adding pathways for professional development programmes.
Oversee and actively design courses and resources in creative technology and digital literacy, aligning with national frameworks and curriculum.
Input into sourcing the best tech equipment and own the educational input of product development.
Set high standards to ensure the Education Team has the skills, knowledge, and frameworks to deliver programmes.
Drive projects: Lead major initiatives from scoping through delivery with strong project management to achieve measurable results.
Shape the Kinia Academy (VLE): Develop engaging, credentialed learning pathways informed by evidence-based research to meet future skills needs.
Be a thought leader: Represent Kinia as a credible voice on education, youth development, and future skills within the sector.
Qualifications and Experience A qualification in Education, Youth Development, Educational Technology, STEM or related field, with 8+ years relevant experience.
Deep understanding of education and youth development policy, strategies and best practice frameworks.
Strong track record in project and people leadership, delivering results on time and to high standards.
Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders across education sectors.
Experience networking, scaling programmes, and communicating impact with a solution-focused mindset.
Credible evidence of leading in STEM and Digital Technologies, preferably with a focus on Green Tech and Renewable Energy.
Experience in sustainability education.
Irish language proficiency.

Additional Information Contract and Probation period: This is a full-time permanent position subject to funding. Some national travel is part of this role; a full driver’s license and car access are required.
Salary: €60,000 to €65,000 per annum (depending on experience).
Other Benefits:
Pension Scheme: After probation, eligible to join with 5% matched employer contributions.
Hybrid Friendly Workplace: Kinia supports remote working hubs, Dublin office, or Galway office. Travel may be required.
Equipment support: Kinia provides financial assistance for home furniture and IT equipment.
Annual leave: 23 days, plus 2 Company Days.
Travel allowances: travelling expenses, accommodation allowance, and subsistence for required travel.

Learning and Development: After one year, eligibility to apply for L&D support.
