About Us: We are an independent provider of Home Care in the community. From a nursing background, our mission is to maximise the abilities and promote Service User in all areas of their lives by providing quality, person centered services. The role of the staff is to support and assist Service Users in every aspect of daily living in order to empower Service Users to live valued lives of optimal independence and participation within their home and the community. Newly hired staff will work in collaboration with colleagues and the Homecare Service Manager to foster a high standard of service and care. We provide extensive training to our staff and ongoing support to empower them to provide high quality care to our Service Users on a day-to-day basis.
Job Description for Team Leader for Homecare (Homecare Support Worker):
To support new staff integration with the team.
To introduce new support workers to service users.
To provide a thorough induction for new staff to service users.
Carry out Quality checks /Reviews
Carry out Audit
Assessments of new service users.
Care reviews on existing service users.
To provide domestic and personal care to service users in their own homes.
To attend Team Leader and Management meeting.
To distribute PPE
On Call when required.
Ad hoc duties that may arise.
Liaise with managers in relation to Service User needs.
To work in co-operation with various professionals and service users and/or carers in providing agreed care plans.
To empower service users to remain independent in their homes, to promote community inclusion, and enhance the quality of life of Service Users.
Assisting Service users with personal care and practical needs
Review and Monitor Service users health & well-being
To form a therapeutic relationship and rapport with Service Users and maintain a positive, constructive and professional relationship.
Ensuring Service User safety through a high level of observation skills, accurate recording & reporting
Required Qualifications / Experience Verifiable home care industry experience of more than 1 year in the last 3 years, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Has QQI 5/6 qualifications or is willing to work towards completing QQI6.
Eligibility to work in Ireland.

Must be able to read, write and speak in English to a high standard
Flexible and adaptable nature
Willing to travel to provide care to the service users in the community.

Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Availability to work a variety of shift types 24/7
