Associate Electrical Engineer - M&E Consultancy

Location: Sandyford, Co. Dublin

Our client provides mechanical and electrical consultancy services to various sectors including residential, commercial, healthcare, and high tech.

As an Associate Electrical Engineer, you will work on projects throughout EMEA and be a key member of the management team. You will be a self-starter and a talented problem-solver, capable of making independent technical judgments in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with team members to uphold design processes and engineering techniques.
2. Review technical designs to ensure full understanding of design & scope.
3. Enhance functionality and costs on projects.
4. Ensure effective collaboration between M&E teams.
5. Lead a high-performing team, championing QA and QC, and meeting deadlines.
6. Monitor costs and innovate to minimize expenses.
7. Assist in resource management, including outsourcing.
8. Interpret contracts and work within their parameters.
9. Liaise with senior management on industry trends and products.
10. Assist in business procurement by liaising with senior management.
11. Communicate effectively with external parties (clients, suppliers, etc.).
12. Build relationships with external business associates.
13. Represent the group in shaping the company's Quality Assurance procedures.
14. Manage a team in delivering multiple large-scale projects.
15. Monitor team development through regular communication.
16. Train junior team members and create action plans for performance improvement.
17. Ensure new technologies are understood by the team.

Requirements:

1. Honours degree - Chartered [an advantage, but not essential].
2. 10+ years recognized expertise in electrical engineering, particularly in data centers or industrial/high-tech sectors.
3. 3+ years' experience in people management, managing multidisciplinary teams.
4. 3+ years' project management experience in electrical and mechanical engineering projects.
5. Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
6. Ability to work well with employees at all levels.
7. Drive for continuous innovation and adoption of emerging technologies.
8. Champion excellence in the design process and engineering techniques.

Package:

1. Salary: €85k - €95k depending on experience.
2. Flexible working hours.
