Urgent: High Voltage Diagnostic Technician

Hyundai Cars Irelandare seeking an ambitious High Voltage Diagnostic Technician. As a result of strong new Hyundai Vehicle Sales and continuous advancement in Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV), we are currently seeking career orientated HV Diagnostic Technicians to join our team. You will receive industry leading technical training along with an opportunity to develop and progress in an expanding team. This unique opportunity to work directly for the distributer of Hyundai cars in Ireland, will suit candidates who strive to be the best in class and have a desire to continuously test their ability on complex repairs. Hyundai product knowledge would be a distinct advantage. The Role: Reporting to the Workshop Coordinator, the ideal candidates will have experience in all aspects of high voltage vehicle servicing and diagnostics and be capable of producing quality work in a busy fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include: Performing work as outlined on the job card with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership standards. Communicating with parts and service department to obtain needed parts, inform workshop coordinator if the vehicle is awaiting parts, and pursue special order of parts if necessary. Diagnosing the cause of any malfunctions and perform a repair in line with manufactures guidelines after confirming authorization by the Service Manager / advisor. Examining the vehicle and performing vehicle health checks and Video health Checks to determine if additional safety or service work is required. Notifying service advisors immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised. Road-testing vehicles to quality check work performed. Maintaining a clean and neat workspace and adhering to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards Keeping abreast of technical bulletins and attend Hyundai training as directed by Service Manager. Assisting the distributor Technical team with challenging technical faults. Requirements: Qualified technician with a National Craft Cert or equivalent QQI Level 6 Experience - ideally working within in a franchised dealership environment. Ability to clearly complete job card write-ups with a thorough understanding of the requirements of franchised standards for smart warranty write-ups. Good communication skills written and oral must have the ability to identify and explain additional work required to service advisors or customers as required. Previous experience working with Franchised Dealer systems diagnosis equipment (GDS) and modern electronics (oscilloscopes etc.) Full clean and valid driving license Self-motivated with high-Quality standards. A team player, that can demonstrate their knowledge of the product to other technicians and apprentices.
