High Voltage Commissioning Manager

Overview The role is within the chief infrastructure office of a semi-state organisation in Ireland. The commissioning manager will prepare and issue strategic projects to new and existing customers connecting directly to the transmission system and to the distribution system operator for those connecting indirectly to the transmission system via the distribution system. The role requires collaboration across client teams to drive solutions for complex technical and commercial issues, strong relationship-building, and the ability to influence others to find workable solutions. The position forms part of the network delivery team and reports to the programme controls lead. It is expected that the candidate has demonstrable experience in similar roles on high-value and complex programmes, preferably in the transmission and energy generation sectors. A degree in engineering or a construction discipline is preferred. Strong analytical and IT skills, including MS Office and Power BI, are desirable. The role is based in Dublin with involvement across Leinster for HV commissioning projects.

You will engage with internal stakeholders and the commissioning team to execute projects in target areas.
You will perform SAP duties, including HV switching and isolations on live networks where required.
You will identify training needs for team members and potentially deliver in-house training.
You will support on-site commissioning through to project completion and commissioning.
You will manage project milestones, deadlines, and overall programme.
You will plan and coordinate vendor FAT/SAT, with possible on-site attendance as needed.
You will participate in daily/weekly project meetings with internal teams, vendors, and clients.
You will oversee the review and approval of key project documents, including Test Protocols and Compliance statements.
Qualifications 10+ years of industry experience in a similar role.
High Voltage commissioning experience is essential.
Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project.
A valid, clean driving licence.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Goal-oriented with strong people skills.
