Asset Manager - Dublin Based (Will need to relocate to Dublin) - Wind/Solar/Battery Storage

My client is a leading player in the industry that I have partnered with in asset management business operating in Europe’s clean energy transition. They have currently in construction of ~360MW of wind in Greece with the first output in late Q1 this year and have a significant pipeline scheduled to enter construction thereafter including solar and BESS technologies in Europe.

They have also just secured over €200 million in funding for solar projects across Ireland which is very exciting

This role combines technical and commercial competencies to provide management and oversight, optimizing reliability and performance for the business. They are looking for someone to come in and build the asset management team up, so it is a very exciting new challenge with lots of progression opportunities available.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the day-to-day management of renewable energy assets, including wind farms, solar parks, and other renewable energy facilities.
2. Develop and implement asset management strategies to optimize performance, minimize downtime, and maximize profitability.
3. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to assess the performance of assets and identify opportunities for improvement.
4. Lead asset enhancement initiatives, such as performance improvements, technical upgrades, and operational efficiency projects.
5. Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, providing insights into asset performance, operational challenges, and investment opportunities.
6. Manage all commercial contracts associated with the assigned assets, including external Asset Management Services, PPA/s, O&M, lease agreements and monitor contractor performance on these contracts to maximize value.
7. Create and constantly review current operational processes, structures, and resources within the business and make recommendations to meet challenges posed by changing business environment.
8. Support acquisition, development, and construction phase projects.
9. Drive asset performance by interacting with OEMs and suppliers to resolve technical issues and maximize profitability of assets.
10. Lead the negotiation of new or extended contracts when required.
11. Develop for approval an annual operational (OPEX) budget, catering for all known asset risks and opportunities and thereafter manage the assigned asset’s operational spend within the approved budget. Report against technical, commercial and HSE KPIs, to key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, finance, or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, MBA) is a plus.
2. Proven experience in asset management, preferably in the renewable energy sector or related industry.
3. Strong technical understanding of renewable energy technologies and operations, including wind, solar, and energy storage systems.
4. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement asset management strategies to optimize performance and maximize value.
5. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and financial models.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
7. Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in the renewable energy industry.
8. Proven track record of managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
