Specialist in Orthodontics – St. Camillus' Hospital, Limerick

Specialists in Orthodontics are required to join the multidisciplinary team to provide complex orthodontic care, in partnership with the HSE.

Job responsibilities:

1. To provide complex orthodontic care for patients who have been determined to be eligible for HSE orthodontic treatment under the Modified IOTN Eligibility Guidelines.
2. Monitor patients’ progress and adjust appliances to ensure optimal treatment results.
3. Provide preventive and interceptive orthodontic care.

The Candidate:

1. Be registered in the Register of Dentists of Ireland or be entitled to be so registered.
2. Be registered in the Register of Dental Specialists for Ireland, division of Orthodontics, or be entitled to be so registered.
3. Have satisfactory knowledge of the administrative aspects of Orthodontic Services.
4. Possess a high standard of professional knowledge and have had satisfactory experience in Orthodontics.
5. Possess the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and administrative capacity) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
