Senior Solutions Architect Contract Role Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid) Contract Type: 6-Month Rolling Contract Stelfox is hiring on behalf of one of the clients, seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to join their Risk Technology team. This is a unique opportunity to design and deliver mission-critical applications in one of the most dynamic and high-impact areas of global finance. Key Responsibilities: Design and document scalable solutions to address complex business challenges. Define and enforce architecture standards, coding best practices, and CI/CD pipelines. Lead hands-on development of proof-of-concepts and R&D initiatives to validate technical feasibility. Collaborate with risk, compliance, and engineering teams to translate business needs into robust technical solutions. Produce clear technical documentation, including UML diagrams and Visio workflows, for diverse stakeholders. Advise on technology selection, vendor evaluations, and cost-benefit analyses for risk systems. Mentor engineering teams on cloud security, resilient architecture, and risk-aware design patterns. Ideal Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 5 years in solution architecture or similar roles. Strong experience in microservices/SOA design within containerised environments. Proven track record in high-volume ETL/data processing. Expertise in polyglot systems using RDBMS (SQL Server/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB). Proficiency in RESTful/GraphQL APIs and asynchronous communication (Kafka, Redis Streams). Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts. Skilled in technical diagramming (UML/Visio) and documentation. Bonus Skills: Experience with TimeSeries databases (e.g., Prometheus) or graph-native databases (e.g., Neo4j, TigerGraph). Hands-on coding experience in Python. Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
