About the team

The Solutions team within RTÉ Technology are responsible for designing and delivering innovative technology solutions that support RTÉ’s mission and digital transformation. We are looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to advise on and implement technology solutions and change across the business.

Reporting to the Head of Solutions, within the Technology division, you will be responsible for delivering transformation projects across the organisation.

Responsibilities

- Work with a cross section of the business to deliver transformation projects throughout the organisation, challenge existing workflows and ways of working, propose technology driven solutions

- Lead AI adoption across the organisation

- Facilitate business and technical sessions to review complex business processes, elicit user requirements and address technology and workflow challenges

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop and document business cases, scope and requirements documentation

- Advise on technical challenges and recommend solutions that optimise functionality, cost, and risk

- Evaluate a range of technologies, including commercial and internal applications, AI tools and system integrations

- Present technology options and solutions to senior management

- Work closely with other Technology teams and the Technical Architect to evaluate key decisions within the context of the technology strategy

About you

- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role

- Experience of delivering technology led transformational projects within a large organisation (800+), preferably in a broadcast/media environment

- Excellent knowledge and experience of utilising business modelling techniques (e.g. BPMN, TOGAF)

- Broad experience base across multiple areas of application implementation, integration, infrastructure technologies and expertise in bringing all of these respective technologies into a cohesive, effective IT architecture

- Proven ability to collaborate with technology vendors and manage cross-vendor issue resolution

- Strong consulting aptitude including influencing skills, verbal and written communication skills, self-starting and self-motivating

- Ability to research emerging technologies and their relevance to the business

- Change management, facilitating skills qualifications an advantage

- A passion for innovation and creative problem solving

Contract and salary

This appointment will be made at the Manager Grade 3 and is being offered on an ongoing fulltime contract basis. The salary scale for this grade is from €50,285 to €84,381 gross per annum.
