Overview

A senior leadership role heading up the Planning function across UK, Ireland and European operations. You will lead a team of 10 planners, overseeing programme management, project controls, and scheduling excellence across multiple high-profile projects. Reporting directly to the Technical Director, this is a key strategic position within the organisation.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

- Lead and manage a team of planners across UK, Ireland and Europe.
- Develop, implement, and maintain project programmes using Asta Powerproject, Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Ensure robust planning processes are in place across all projects, from pre-construction through to completion.
- Provide strategic guidance on project controls, sequencing, resource planning, and critical path analysis.
- Oversee programme risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Produce high-quality reports, dashboards, and progress updates for senior leadership and clients.
- Support bid and tender submissions with accurate and competitive programme development.
- Drive best practice and continuous improvement across the planning function.

Essential Skills & Experience

- 10+ years’ experience in planning/project controls within construction.
- Strong technical proficiency in Asta Powerproject, Primavera P6, and MS Project.
- Proven experience managing and developing planning teams.
- Excellent understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and delivery.
- Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
- Analytical and detail-focused, with ability to manage complex programmes.
