My client is looking for a Senior kdb+ Developer to join their growing team in Dublin. You'll be at the forefront of delivering high-performance, scalable solutions for some of the world's most data-intensive financial institutions.

You'll lead tech delivery on client projects, setting the standard for quality and performance. Design and implement robust kdb+ architecture that handles huge quantities of time-series data.

You'll collaborate with quants, traders, and analysts to translate business needs into performant, efficient code. Mentor junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.

Own the full development lifecycle by developing, testing, supporting, and maintaining all code for client applications. Stay up to date in kdb+, q, and adjacent technologies.

Requirements include:

1. 5+ years of hands-on kdb+ development, with deep expertise in q and time-series data.
2. Proven experience designing and implementing kdb+ architectures and scaling kdb+ systems in production.
3. Background in Unix/Linux environments and scripting.
4. Experience in technical leadership and decision-making in fast-paced projects.
5. Experience in capital markets or investment banking, with a good understanding of the domain and its demands.
6. A passion for clean, performant code and continuous improvement.
7. Good communication skills, capable of articulating complex tech to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have skills:

- Python, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), or other time-series databases.
- Experience with tick data, real-time analytics, or electronic trading systems.
- Team leadership or management experience.

The role is based in Dublin with hybrid work arrangements available. Candidates must be eligible to work in Ireland/EU.
