ATG are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic GIS Analyst to join a consultancy team in Ireland. The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects across sectors such as environmental management, urban planning, infrastructure development, and renewable energy. You will play a critical role in providing geospatial insights to drive informed decision-making for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage, analyze, and interpret geospatial data to support a wide range of consultancy projects.
- Design and produce high-quality maps, visualizations, and reports for internal and client use.
- Develop and maintain spatial databases and workflows, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Utilize GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) for spatial analysis and modeling tasks.
- Support project teams with geospatial expertise, including field data collection when required.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and deliver tailored GIS solutions.
- Automate repetitive GIS tasks using tools such as Python, R, or ModelBuilder.
- Stay updated on emerging GIS technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a GIS Analyst role, preferably in a consultancy or project-based environment.
- Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro) or QGIS.
- Strong understanding of spatial analysis techniques and geospatial data formats.
- Experience with scripting and automation using Python, R, or similar programming languages.
- Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL Server).
- Excellent cartographic and data visualization skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
