Position Overview
Our client, a prestigious global organisation, is seeking an experienced Project Manager, HR Operations to take a lead role in driving HR operational excellence across multiple global locations. This position is ideal for an individual with a proven track record of successfully managing complex HR system implementations, specifically focused on the design and implementation of the Time and Absence modules in Workday. The successful candidate will work closely with HR leadership and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of global projects that enhance HR operations, systems, and processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Collaboration: Partner with HR and key stakeholders on diverse projects that support business and functional strategic objectives, including People, Process, and Technology projects.
2. Project Planning: Develop and refine project work plans, ensuring alignment with business needs and timely execution within scope and budget.
3. Operational Efficiency: Identify opportunities to improve HR operational efficiency, customer experience, and cost-effectiveness, and execute strategies to achieve these goals.
4. Process Creation: Develop processes, tools, and templates to streamline the identification, execution, and successful completion of HR projects.
5. Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates and communicate effectively with HR Operations and project stakeholders, ensuring alignment and progress on all activities.
6. Change Management: Lead change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions for different personas (employees, contingent workers, people managers) throughout project phases.
7. Implementation Coordination: Oversee day-to-day project implementation, ensuring tasks are tracked, documented, and aligned with the overall project plan.
8. Project Methodologies: Follow established project management methodologies and apply problem-solving techniques to resolve challenges effectively.
9. HR System Support: Support HR systems upgrades and new implementations, including tasks such as data gathering, testing, training, and customer validation.
10. Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with HR, Payroll, IT, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
11. Workday Implementation: Assist in the design, configuration, and testing of the Time and Absence modules in Workday, collaborating with Workday consultants and vendors to ensure best practices are followed.
Travel Requirement
- Approximate 10% travel will be required for this role.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 5+ years in a Project Management role.
- Project Management Certification (PMP) is required.
- Experience with Workday and familiarity with HR systems (HCMs, Oracle, Beeline, etc.) are highly preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, and Visio is essential.
- Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

- Comfortably interacts with executive management and all organisational levels.
