The community liaison officer shall support the project stakeholder management and communications functions throughout the project lifecycle. The role holder will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the strategic stakeholder engagement strategy, including processes, procedures, controls, systems, and reporting, ensuring the strategy remains fit for purpose as the project progresses.

You'll be responsible for:

- Ensuring efficient and coordinated management of project stakeholders (both internal and external).
- Collaborating with the stakeholder lead and manager to support public-facing stakeholder engagement activities.
- Providing updates on community engagement to internal project teams and coordinating with delivery contractors to monitor stakeholder liaison and commitments.
- Identifying, assessing, and communicating risks related to public engagement to the project team.
- Serving as the main contact for community stakeholders at specific locations, providing briefings, promoting the project, and resolving issues.
- Organizing and attending meetings and forums as outlined in the engagement strategy.

You'll need to have:

- 5+ years of experience in stakeholder and communications management, with a proven track record in high-value rail projects or similar complex projects.
- Experience in driving best practices in technical activities, processes, policies, and standards.
- Understanding of design and delivery requirements of complex projects in the architectural, engineering, or construction sectors.
- Experience engaging with stakeholders at all levels, influencing process improvements, and supporting project delivery and reporting.
- Knowledge of quality management and process improvement practices, preferably within construction.

You'll also have:

- The ability to manage technical outputs to enhance efficiency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to govern and drive outcomes for high-quality service.
- A BA/BSc in public relations, business, or a related field.
