Senior IT Specialist
Location: Dublin (with travel to other local offices as required)

Job Purpose

The Senior IT Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the effective and secure operation of all IT systems and infrastructure. This includes the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and networks, as well as managing user access and collaborating with managed service providers to maintain performance, reliability, and security.

This is a hands‑on technical role suited to an experienced IT professional (L3 level) who enjoys both problem‑solving and continuous improvement across systems and processes.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar IT role (L3 level) with strong knowledge of:

Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 configuration/support.

Azure AD/Entra and Intune administration.

Network configuration and troubleshooting.

Proven experience in planning, deploying, and maintaining IT systems.

Desirable Certifications

ITIL certification.

Microsoft certification (e.g. MCSA, MS-900).

Key Responsibilities
Technical Support

Provide first and second‑line support for hardware, software, and cloud‑based systems.

Troubleshoot complex issues and escalates to managed service providers when required.

Systems & Hardware Management

Install, configure, and maintain computers, laptops, servers, printers, and related peripherals.

Ensure systems and applications are up to date, patched, and securely backed up.

User & Access Management

Manage user accounts, security permissions, and password resets via Azure AD/Entra and Intune.

Maintain adherence to IT security policies and access control standards.

Network & Infrastructure

Support and maintain LAN/WAN environments.

Work with external providers to ensure stable and secure network connectivity.

Security & Data Protection

Implement and monitor IT security controls and procedures.

Manage incident response and threat monitoring.

Deliver cybersecurity awareness training as part of staff onboarding.

Documentation & Asset Management

Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures.

Track IT assets, software licences, and equipment lifecycle.

Disaster Recovery & Continuity

Assist in managing data backup processes and test disaster recovery capabilities.

Support and manage the VoIP phone system in collaboration with service providers.

Identify and implement improvements to enhance system efficiency, performance, and security.

Contribute to developing and enforcing IT policies and best practices.

HR Systems Support

Provide technical support for the HR Information System (HRIS) in collaboration with HR.
