Salary: €55,000 - €110,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours: Full Time (part-time considered)

Our client is an award-winning, NHS and HSE approved practice dedicated to providing high-quality psychological care across the UK and Ireland. They offer neurodevelopmental and psychological assessments for adults and children, as well as expert witness assessments for courts, parole boards, criminal and family law, immigration law, and medico-legal cases. They have a proven track record of delivering high-quality assessments and fulfilling HSE/NHS contracts.

The Role:

This is an exciting role within a busy service, providing assessments to families and adults. It is a hybrid position for qualified clinicians working within the Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team for children referred for autism and/or ADHD assessments via HSE/NHS, patient choice, and GPs. Some tasks may be performed remotely, but travel to their Dublin office is required.

The role involves conducting comprehensive specialist assessments, including diagnostic assessments for individuals with suspected autism and/or ADHD using established diagnostic tools. Mental health assessments may also be part of the role. Assessments are conducted on behalf of the HSE/NHS via GP referral.

The clinician is responsible for writing timely, professional assessment reports, providing recommendations and interventions. Depending on experience, supervision and support of junior staff may also be required.

Qualifications:

- Registered Practitioner Psychologist
- Must be eligible to work in Ireland
- Experience with neurodevelopmental or developmental assessments for children and young people
- Experience working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders or mental health issues in a clinical setting
- Knowledge of DSM-5 criteria and assessment tools for autism and ADHD
- Knowledge of differential diagnosis
- Ideally trained in ADOS-2 and ADI-R
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Experience in report writing and record keeping
- Additional qualifications in autism and/or ADHD are advantageous
