Job Description

We are recruiting an In-field Medical Advisor to join our diverse neurology team in Citywest, Dublin. The successful candidate will be expected to develop & build strong networks with key Irish stakeholders as the product expert. They will have In-Field responsibility for providing up-to-date medical, clinical development and relevant expertise to HCPs. This role reports into a Senior Medical Manager.

Responsibilities:

1. Build strong networks with medical Key Opinion Leaders both nationally and internationally in the therapeutic area by seeking and collecting the medical voice of the customer.
2. Develop and implement the medical strategy for the brand, working closely with the cross-functional teams (marketing and sales).
3. Collaborate with the clinical trial operations regarding new studies to be considered for Ireland, with respect to the local environment.
4. Assist with review of promotional materials and company-sponsored activities to ensure compliance with IPHA Code and company SOPs.
5. Oversee and handle the medical budget related to the brand.
6. Assist Market Access, Regulatory Affairs and Medical Information with medical input as appropriate.
7. Provide medical/scientific support and training for internal staff and interns.
8. Initiate and run advisory boards, medical educational meetings and 1:1 key HCP meeting on a local level.
9. Support HCPs with the relevant compassionate use programmes that are available.

Qualifications

1. PhD, Master of Pharmaceutical Science, Integrated Master’s in Pharmacy Degree, Registered Nurse, or equivalent is preferred.
2. Clinical trial or medical affairs experience in the pharmaceutical industry, academia or equivalent is preferred.
3. Strong self-leadership and team-player mentality.
4. Knowledge of clinical trial methodology, regulatory requirements governing clinical trials and experience in development strategy and the design of protocols is an advantage.
5. Expert knowledge in a relevant therapeutic specialty and/or ability to rapidly gain expertise and process information.
6. Ability to deal with ambiguity and rapid changes.
7. Business acumen/understanding.
8. Must possess excellent oral and written English communication skills.
