Environmental Officer An Irish manufacturer in food is seeking an Environmental Officer to add to their manufacturing facility in Kildare THE COMPANY: Growing from strength to strength every year, this indigenous Irish food supplier has become renowned in the Irish market. Established for several decades and employing several hundred people, our client supplies into major retailers, manufacturers, and food service operators in Ireland. With turnover of over 100 million, they are now seeking to add an Environmental Officer to their Kildare site. With a long-standing company history, and clear progression path, this role is not to be missed THE ROLE: The successful candidate will site-based in Kildare with the following duties: Managing the EHS and Quality Systems for the business Conducting and reporting on internal audits on products, surfaces, water, materials and temperature control Ensuring HACCP compliance, running CAPA systems, leading Quality and Environmental problem investigations and implementing corrections Working with external authorities and auditing bodies (ISOs, EPA, local councils, Department of Agriculture) Point of Contact for customer enquiries and complaints relating to quality & documentation and remedying arising issues THE PERSON: We are looking to speak to those from the following backgrounds: A strong Environmental Health and Safety background is essential Experience in a Food Manufacturing environment is beneficial Candidates with a broader Health and Safety background are also encouraged to apply if there is an emphasis on EHS SALARY: €50,000-€60,000 DOE LOCATION: Kildare Applications are encouraged from all candidates living within a commutable distance to Kildare BMS Performance specialises in recruiting Engineering professionals, nationally.
