Join us as a Data Privacy and Security Manager

The Role: We have an exciting role for you - as an SME within the Data Advisory team within Product Engineering to review and risk assess complex Product Engineering projects that handle personal data in line with the EU and UK Data Protection Legislation (EU/UK General Data Protection Act, GDPR). Be involved in projects like in-vehicle infotainment features, cloud-based processing, software development, Mobile Apps, Assisted and Automotive Driving technologies, and 'Connected vehicle' products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
The role will advise Engineering colleagues on the Privacy requirements that their project must comply with by identifying and articulating:

1. High risk processing
2. Complex data flows
3. The role of third parties handling data
4. International data transfers
5. Industry specific guidelines
6. Data minimisation techniques
7. Data subject rights adherence

Your Profile:
Key skills/knowledge/experience:

1. Extensive proven experience working as a dedicated Privacy professional.
2. Previous experience advising on technical/technology-based processes e.g. Automotive, Engineering, IT, Software Development, Banking.
3. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Good to have:

1. CIPP/E qualification.
2. Law degree.
3. Engineering/IT degree.
4. Qualified lawyer status.
